At its meeting on December 5, 2023, the Hempstead Town Board adopted a positive declaration, requiring the preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) by the applicant, and also scheduled public scoping.
Pursuant to the requirements of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) regulations, the Hempstead Town Board established itself as lead agency.
